KENNEWICK, Wash. – According to the National Retail Federation, 142 million shoppers plan to shop on Panic Saturday or Super Saturday, the last Saturday before Christmas.

Local businesses in downtown Kennewick, like Layered Cake Artistry, hosted a Holiday Market for last-minute shoppers to find that last-minute gift or stocking stuffer.

Layered Cake Artistry co-owners Concetta Gulluni, and Elena Gabin said they had local small businesses around the Tri-Cities.

“They are selling all sorts of fun things today,” said Gulluni. “We have head bands, we’ve got candy, plants, jewelry, lavender all sorts of fun things.”

Gabin and Gullini said last-minute gifts are tricky.

“We’re making it easy for people because we’ve got nice little things that fit into stockings.”

Jenni Foxe owns Foxe Tails Co. She was at the market and had a booth set up, and she’s playing catch up on her Christmas shopping this year.

“I think all my Christmas shopping’s done,” said Foxe. “I get it done in October. This year it finished a couple of days ago.”

Foxe said people have a lot going on, which is one of the reasons she just finished up.

She said she was going to do some shopping at the market too.

“So today, even here, I’m going to be doing some stocking stuff last minute things,” she said.
