ELLENSBURG, Wash.-Ellensburg’s new Unity Park located at Pearl Street and N. 4th Avenue, will officially open on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Music will start at 12:30 p.m. with the official opening celebration that will include a ribbon cutting, speakers, performances, games and artists in action set for 1 p.m.
“The development of a true downtown park has been a dream and a vision for many years, we are so excited that the grand opening of Unity Park has finally arrived and a celebration that will highlight how special this park will be for the downtown and our community,” said Ellensburg Parks and Recreation Director Brad Case.
Unity Park is a space that can be enjoyed year-round as a gathering space, a venue for cultural arts and recreational events and as much needed open space, according to a social media post from the City of Ellensburg.
