YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. – A crash on state Route 821 left one dead and the highway closed in both directions near milepost .7 Sunday afternoon.
According to Trooper Sarah Clasen with Washington State Patrol, a motorcycle hit an SUV at a high speed. Clasen said one person is confirmed dead but no further details have been released.
At noon, the Washington State Department of Transportation live traffic map showed stop-and-go traffic in the area. Drivers should avoid the area and look for alternate routes.
