WHITE SWAN, Wash.-The deadline for those affected by the Slide Ranch Fire to apply for FEMA assistance is Dec. 16.
Those impacted by the fire may be eligible for financial assistance with things such as home repairs, damaged vehicles and essential property and the loss of subsistence items, including traditional subsistence food, and culturally significant items used for ceremonial purposes, according to FEMA.
The Slide Ranch Fire started in late June and burned 3,106 acres, as well as 20 homes, according to the Yakama Agency Bureau of Indian Affairs.
