KENNEWICK, Wash. – Fire crews are fought a commercial structure fire at Garage Town Storage on North Edison Street in Kennewick on Tuesday.
Deputy Chief Michael Heffner from the Kennewick Fire Department reports that the fire is out.
Kennewick Police Officer Clary says a father and his son were unloading items from their storage unit when the son noticed the fire inside the unit.
Clary reports that minor injuries and some smoke inhalation were sustained. Heffner says the main unit and its two neighboring units took extensive damage, while two more units on either side of the fire took minor damage.
The fire’s cause is unknown, per Heffner. Southbound traffic on North Edison Street experienced delays for fire response.
