BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-Public tours of the Coyote Canyon mammoth dig site start on June 1.
The Coyote Canyon mammoth site is an active dig in the Tri-Cities and is home to the MCBONES Research Center, which is used for programs, analyzing, exhibiting and storing samples collected at the site.
According to the site, tours last about an hour and a half and include a tour and presentation on the history of the site, as well as the opportunity to view the dig and participate in wet screening operations.
Starting June 1, the site will be taking reservations for tours from June through Oct. Tours cost $10 per person and reservations can be made online.
