FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash.-A couple arrested in Mexico in March of 2023, suspected of murder and multiple counts of child sex abuse, are now behind bars in Franklin County.
Edgar Casian-Garcia was booked in Franklin County in September and Araceli Medina was booked on Nov. 7. according to jail records.
The investigation into Casian-Garcia and Medina, his girlfriend, began after the disappearance of eight-year-old Edgar Casian, who was last seen by his mother in Pasco in 2020.
After human remains that were later identified as Casian were found in Benton County in 2022, Casian-Garcia and Medina became suspects in his death.
The couple went on the run and were added to the U.S. Marshal’s 15 Most Wanted List before being found in Mexico.
