RICHLAND, Wash. – A crash caused by a couch that fell off a vehicle is blocking westbound traffic on I-182 in Richland and Pasco, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Sarah Clasen.
Clasen says the couch fell off the vehicle on the Richland side of the bridge and caused another driver to stop for the couch. The stopped car was then rear-ended by a following car.
Traffic is heavily backed up on westbound I-182 as a result, according to Clasen. WSDOT’s Travel Center Map reports backups going from Richland to Pasco.
The scene of the crash will be cleared by 7 p.m., according to Clasen.
