YAKIMA, Wash.- Comprehensive healthcare has announced construction of new 20-unit Permanent Supportive Housing facility for low income adults with mental illness.

“This project will help meet the need, in Sunnyside and our surrounding communities, to support affordable housing, especially for those living with a chronic mental health condition. It will also decrease the risk of homelessness for these individuals,” said Jodi Daly, Ph.D., president and CEO of Comprehensive Healthcare. “We thank our community partners, the City Council of Sunnyside, the Yakima County Homeless Network, and Greater Columbia Behavioral Health for the substantial support they have given in order to make VDS-2 come to life.”

Adults living in the facility will be able to live independent lives in a supported environment.
