RICHLAND, Wash.- The Cold War Patriots National Day of Remembrance™ was held on October 27 to honor the sacrifices made by the men and women who served our nation in the nuclear industry, including at the Hanford Nuclear Site.

This marked the 15th anniversary of the National Day of Remembrance and the event at the Richland Community Center was the first in-person event in three years since the COVID pandemic according to event organizers.

“Cold War Patriots, in conjunction with our founding company, Professional Case Management, is proud to continue this long-standing tradition of honoring the many workers who tirelessly served our country by building and maintaining our nuclear weapons complex for the defense of the U.S.,” said Tim Lerew, chairman of Cold War Patriots who oversaw the Richland event.

Cold War Patriots is the largest organization focused on advocating for the rights and benefits of nuclear weapons workers and uranium miners according to a press release on the event.
