Coal from the Titanic is going on sale – with hundreds of items from shipwrecks including cannons and crockery.
The 700 marine artifacts dating back to the 1500s are housed at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum in Charlestown, Cornwall.
Sir Tim Smit, founder of the Eden Project, bought the museum 10 years ago and is now selling the items and the building.
The sale includes 46g of coal from onboard the Titanic, valued at $520 to $780.
Rope recovered from Henry VIII’s Tudor flagship the Mary Rose is estimated to fetch $6,505 to $13,011.
