RICHLAND, Wash. – It’s not too late to sign up for the 17th annual Clot Trot, a one mile and 5k race at Howard Amon Park in Richland to spread awareness for hemophilia.
The race, set for Sat., April 13, features both an in person and a virtual event. The 5k starts at 9 a.m. while the one mile race starts at 9:05 a.m.
The Clot Trot was started by Tri-Cities resident Aaron Smith in 2008 as an Eagle Scout service project. The race has since turned into a community event that builds awareness for hemophilia, an inherited bleeding disorder that makes blood not clot properly.
Special 2024 Clot Trot shirts are free for the first 243 in person participants. Donations can be made during online registration or at the event.
Online registration is available until Fri., April 12 at 8 p.m. and in person on race day from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
