RICHLAND, Wash.- Cheyenne LaViolette is a high school teacher at Hanford High. She was awarded February’s Classroom Makeover from Toyota of Tri-Cities because she goes above and beyond for her students.

Mrs. LaViolette teaches broadcast classes at Hanford including the “Falcon Report”. She said the students want to spend the money on a LED neon sign or an anchor desk for their news set.

“We get all the information out to the students about upcoming events, human interest and special interest segments,” said LaViolette.

Mrs. LaViolette said her favorite thing about this class is the kids get to make stories about the school that creates friendships and bonds.

Toyota of Tri-Cities believes that education is a strong component to a healthy community. There are teachers in the community who strive to go a step further than just opening the books and presenting the curriculum. They go above and beyond to ensure that their students get the most possible in a classroom setting. These are the Teachers that Toyota of Tri-Cities would like to honor. Each Month throughout the School year, a deserving Teacher is selected from nominations by the community and given a check for $250.00 to help in furthering the positive classroom experience.
