PASCO, Wash. – The City of Pasco announced on Tuesday that the City’s current Interim Public Works Director, Maria Serra, has been appointed as the new Public Works Director.
Serra has served as the Interim Public Works Director since Dec. 2023 and was previously the Deputy Public Works Director.
“Maria has been a cornerstone of our Public Works operations for many years, and her extensive experience and dedication to our community make her the ideal leader for this Department” said City Manager Adam Lincoln. “Her commitment to enhancing our City’s infrastructure while ensuring public safety is evident. I am confident in her ability to guide our Public Works Department towards a future of growth and innovation.”
Serra’s previous experience includes working in Buenos Aires, Argentina on large-scale port engineering projects across Latin America and various other roles in the City’s Public Works Department.
Her appointment follows a deep evaluation process in which the City found her confidence, commitment and focus on sustainable development being aligned with the City’s strategic goals.
