YAKIMA, Wash.–Recall charges have been filed against Yakima Coroner Jim Curtice with claims that he violated his oath of office and committed acts of malfeasance and misfeasance.
Attorney Zach Stambaugh, with Hummer Boyd PLLC, filed the charges after Curtice declined two requests to resign from his position.
The charges filed against Curtice claim he consumed controlled substances at the office and was admitted to a hospital as a result, according to the statement of charges. He made a police report claiming his employees poisoned him and participated in interviews where he accused his employees attempted to kill him.
