OLYMPIA, Wash.-A challenge to listing former President Donald Trump on the Presidential Primary ballot in Washington was dismissed in Thurston County Superior Court on Thursday, Jan. 18, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.

The ruling in Thurston County follows the dismissal of a challenge in Kitsap County on Jan. 16.

“I am grateful that Judge Wilson ruled in such a timely and well-considered fashion, and that she recognized that I and my staff have been working in full compliance with state law governing the Presidential Primary,” Secretary Hobbs said.

In accordance with the Superior Court ruling printing of ballots and voters’ pamphlets for the March 12 Presidential Primary will move forward with the candidate lists submitted by both political parties, according to the Washington Secretary of State’s Office.

Secretary of State Steve Hobbs released the full list of candidates submitted by both parties to county auditors on Jan. 9.

The Democratic Party submitted Joe Biden, Dean Phillips and Marianne Willisamson.

Republicans submitted the names of Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy and Chris Christie.

“We will continue working with our partners in county elections offices to get all the necessary materials for this election to every Washington voter,” said Secretary Hobbs.
