RICHLAND, Wash. – A Celebration of Life event is scheduled Benton County Fire District 4 Lieutenant/Paramedic Aaron Meloy on Feb. 19.
The event starts at 1 p.m. at the Richland Baptist Church, located at 1632 George Washington Way.
BCFD4 says Meloy spent his entire fire service tenure with the fire district until his unexpected passing on Jan. 26.
Meloy started as a volunteer then attended the Regional Fire Academy and Columbia Basin College for EMT certification.
In June 2016, Meloy joined BCFD4 and attended CBC to obtain his paramedic certification. He later advanced to the rank of Lieutenant.
