PASCO, Wash.-New funding from Coordinated Care will help Columbia Basin College support students pursuing careers in healthcare.

CBC is one of 10 organizations receiving funding and will get a $25,000 Community Scholarship to aid students in the health sciences program focused on community health, psychology, and social work according to a press release on the funding.

“Support from community organizations like Coordinated Care that support the academic dreams of our students in the healthcare field is wonderful,” said Erin Fishburn, Executive Director of The CBC Foundation.

According to CBC’s press release on the scholarship, the funding is part of Coordinated Care’s reinvestment from the health plan back into the community.

“Our students not only live in our community, over 80% stay in our community after graduation,” said Fishburn. “The scholarships are a gift that benefits our students and the community.”
