Carlo D’Alessandro named Public Works Director for the City of Richland

RICHLAND, Wash.-Carlo D’Alessandro is the new Public Works Director for the City of Richland.

Richland announced the appointment of D’Alessandro, who has been with the city for three years, on Aug. 1, effective as of July 22.

D’Alessandro joined the city of Richland in 2021 as a Transportation and Development Manager. He had been serving as Interim Public Works Director since April of 2024.

With over 16 years of engineering experience D’Alessandro demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise during his time with the city, according to a Richland press release on his appointment.

D’Alessandro holds both Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in Civil Engineering and has worked as an Assistant Construction Engineer with the Michigan Department of Transportation and Quality Manager at Amico Infrastructures Inc.

According to the city of Richland, D’Alessandro will oversee several divisions within the city including streets, solid waste, water, wastewater, stormwater, engineering, and the city’s Horn Rapids Landfill.
