YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.- A car fire in the median of I-82 near the Yakima Training Center led to a brush fire on Sunday, July 7.
According to the Yakima Training Center, crews responded to the fire at milepost 16 around 3:20 p.m. The fire burned over 10 acres and air support was called in before crews contained after 4 p.m.
YTC said fire crews will remain on scene to mop up and monitor the situation.
