BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – A car crash in Benton County Friday night resulted in one woman being hospitalized. The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The woman injured in the crash was a passenger in the car and was not wearing a seat belt. She was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center for her injuries. The driver of the car she was in was not hurt.
The crash happened as the car, traveling south on Plymouth Road, failed to yield the right of way and crashed with another car traveling westbound on State Route 14.
The Washington State Patrol stated that it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The car with the two passengers was totaled, while the other car sustained significant damage.
The driver of the first car is facing pending charges as the investigation continues.
