Candy Land Run to support sex trafficking victims set for Richland

RICHLAND, Wash.-The inaugural Candy Land Run to raise money for survivors of sex trafficking in the Tri-Cities is scheduled for Saturday, November 4 on Candy Mountain.

Mirror Ministries is hosting the Candy Land Run that will feature three different routes for runners that range in difficulty, as well as a virtual option from November 5-12.

All proceeds from the run will support Mirror Ministries, a Tri-Cities nonprofit that supports around 50 local victims of sex trafficking per month according to a press release on the run.

According to Mirror Ministries runners can stop at themed stations along the routes for sweet treats or to meet characters from Candy Land along the way.

Long-sleeved shirts and hoodies are available for purchase through the Candy Land Run registration website until October 12. Each finisher of the race will also receive a prize, with a special award for the top finishers.

Gumdrop Loop: 1.25 miles. $20 registration. 9:00 a.m. start.Chocolate Route: 3.5 miles. $30 registration. 8:45 a.m. start.Licorice Trail: 6.25 miles. $40 registration. 8:30 a.m. start.
