YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.-A candidate filing period for a proposed lower Yakima Valley Hospital District will be open Aug. 12-14.
Filing for three commissioner positions will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a ballot proposition asking voters to decide if a lower valley hospital district should be formed will be on the Nov. 5 General Election ballot.
Commissioners would also be elected in the General Election, according to the Yakima County Auditor’s Office.
Voters interested in being a candidate for one of the commissioner positions must be registered to vote within the district and should submit their declaration of candidacy no later than 5 p.m. on Aug. 14.
