MISSION, Ore.-The top three finishers in the 2024 Tri-City Water Follies Apollo Columbia Cup will split $17,500 thanks to the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.

“It’s an honor to be a part of such a fun event and to be able to provide the purse money for the Apollo Columbia Cup,” said CTUIR Chairman Gary I Burke.

The first place race team will receive $10,000, the second place team will get $5,000 and the third place finisher will take home $2,500, according to a CTUIR press release.

The CTUIR will also have representatives at the Apollo Columbia Cup and local firefighters and Yakama Nation dignitaries have been invited as guests.

“We invite the public to come out and visit, grab some goodies, learn about the CTUIR and its history tied to the area and just have fun watching the races and air show,” Burke said.
