Benton County will allocate over $2 million in funding for gang and crime prevention programs

BENTON COUNTY, Wash.- According to a Facebook post made by the Benton County Washington Government, in 2023-2-24 $2.4 million in funding will go towards gang and crime prevention programs.

Benton County will put the funding towards seven different gang and crime prevention programs.

According to Benton County, $173,264 of funding will go towards a Support Advocacy & Resource Center (SARC) Engagement specialist.

$430,000 will go to My Friends Place, an overnight teen shelter.

$525,000 will go to the Boys and Girls Club Kennewick Clubhouse.

$250,000 will go to the Boys and Girls Club Prosser Clubhouse.

$89,000 will go to the Kiona-Benton Crime Prevention Program.

$375,216 will go to Partners for Early Learning Building Resilience Through Family Support.

And the Benton County Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) will receive $550,000.
