BENTON COUNTY, Wash.- Firefighters are working to suppress a brush fire at the intersection of East State Route 397 and Owens Road prompting officials to close the road to traffic.
Benton County Fire District #1 reports that the brush-heavy fire is around 3-5 acres and officials requested a wildland strike team.
Drivers are asked to stay out of the area. Individuals are also discouraged from sending drones as firefighters may need to mobilize air support.
