BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-District Court Judge Terry Tanner and the Commission on Judicial Conduct have agreed on an order of censure and suspension following his second DUI arrest in January of 2023.
Under the agreement filed with the Commission on Sept 8, Judge Tanner will be censured with a recommendation to the Supreme Court that he be suspended for 30 days without pay.
The Washington Supreme Court accepted the stipulation between Judge Tanner and the Commission on Nov. 13.
According to Supreme Court documents, Judge Tanner is officially censured and his suspension will take effect seven days after the order, which would be Nov. 20.
