TRI-CITIES, Wash. – The Ben Franklin Transit announced its new art contest for high school students in the Tri-Cities, with the contest’s theme being “Free Ride.”
The theme references BFT’s new offer of free rides for youth through age 18 and seniors 65 and older. BFT says the offer also provides freedom to youth and seniors who cannot drive.
Participating students can submit either a traditional hand-drawn design on an 11″ by 17″ piece of poster paper or a computer-generated non-AI design scaled to 11″ by 17″ at 600 dpi.
Submissions are accepted until Fri., March 1 and follow all BFT guidelines. Poster paper can be obtained at Customer Service at the Three Rivers Transit Center.
The top three pieces in both the traditional art and digital art categories will receive prizes, which includes Amazon gift cards and the art piece being featured on the BFT Art Bus.
Submission information, inspirations for the “Free Ride” theme and more can be found on the BFT website.
