BENTON COUNTY, Wash.- The Benton County prosecutors office has confirmed that Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Brad Bartlett, his wife and two children died in a car crash on the 4th of July.
Their 2-year-old son was the only person to survive the crash. He was life-flighted to Harborview Medical Center for treatment and has since been released to family members, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
Bartlett was driving south on Sellards Road when he failed to stop at the intersection with Travis Road and was hit by a truck going west, according to the BCSO’s initial investigation.
The driver of the truck was also hospitalized after the crash and has since been released.
There is no indication that intoxicants were a factor in the crash and everyone in the involved cars were wearing seatbelts, according to the BCSO.
According to Benton County Chief Deputy Coroner Dennis Morris, The four people who died included a 9-year-old, and three-week-old.
The Benton County Prosecutor’s Office is asking the public to respect the Bartlett family’s privacy at this time.
