PASCO, Wash. – Avelo Airlines is expanding its service at the Tri-Cities Airport (PSC) with exclusive nonstop service to the Sonoma County Airport (STS) starting May 1, according to a press release.

Flights between the Tri-Cities and Sonoma County will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays with one-way fares starting at $62. The new route will use a Boeing Next-Generation (NG) 737 aircraft.

Avelo initially provided service to the Tri-Cities in April 2021 when it took flight to the Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR).

“We have been very encouraged by the positive reception Avelo has received in the Tri-Cities region and are excited to add this second popular California destination,” said Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy. “With the addition of this exclusive nonstop service, getting to the Bay Area and California Wine Country is now more affordable and easier than ever for Tri-Cities travelers. This new route will also make getting from the Bay Area and Sonoma County to southeastern Washington a faster and smoother experience”

The press release notes that Sonoma County is home to more than 425 wineries. The county features several activities for vacationists like hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, boating, camping and more.

The Sonoma County Airport is located close to several vineyards and wineries along with large cities like San Francisco and San Jose.

The Tri-Cities Airport continues to play a significant role in the growth and development of our communities,” said Visit Tri-Cities President and CEO Kevin Lewis. “The wine country to wine country connection on Avelo provides an important component to the growing economic, social, and cultural opportunities here by linking us to another important and intriguing destination.”

Since its founding in 2021, Avelo took in over four million customers over 30,000 flights across 48 destinations in the United States.
