YAKIMA, Wash.- Lion’s Pool invited children to attend a free swimming lessons course in a greater effort to deliver potentially lifesaving water safety information.
According to Lion’s Pool, April Pool’s Day allows kids an hour of free swimming and water safety lessons. Jason Zeller, the Recreation Program Supervisor, stated, “Anything you can do to give information to kids on how to be safe,” Zeller explained, “How to pick out the right kind of life jacket is huge. It can be the difference between a kid making it or not.”
The program also hosted a raffle for life jackets and swimming lessons.
