RICHLAND, Wash.-It’s Labor Day weekend in the Tri-Cities, which means the Tumbleweed Music Festival is here once again.
The 28th annual Tumbleweed Music Festival, a free, community celebration of acoustic music is Aug. 30-Sept. 1 in Howard Amon Park.
Sponsored by the Three Rivers Folklife Society, the Tumbleweed Music Festival will start with a free “New Horizons” concert featuring younger performers on Friday, Aug. 30.

The weekend will feature performances and workshops from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. All performances and workshops are free, except for the Saturday benefit concert and the Sunday Contra Dance.
