SUNNYSIDE, Wash.-The 3rd Annual Suicide Prevention Walk for Hope is set for Sunday, Sept. 22 in Sunnyside.
The walk, dedicated to raising awareness, offering hope and providing suicide prevention resources will start at 4 p.m. at Centennial Square at 525 E. Edison Avenue.
According to event organizers, the walk is a chance for the community to come together and make a difference, whether participants walk in memory of a loved one, in support of a friend.

4-5:30 p.m. Activities including bracelet making, coloring, corn hole, button making, face painting, resource and information booths, Fire Truck, Sunnyside School District Therapy Dogs available to meet, poster making.5:30-6 p.m. Buses will transport walkers to the old Sears parking lot across from the high school.6 p.m. Walk to the gazebo for a balloon release and guest speaker Kimberly Starr, an advocate for mental health and suicide prevention.
