Colin Burgess, the original drummer of the iconic rock band AC/DC has died.
“Very sad to hear of the passing of Colin Burgess. He was our first drummer and a very respected musician. Happy memories, rock in peace Colin,” the band announced in a post on social media Saturday, Dec. 16.
Burgess, a native of Australia, joined AC/DC in 1973. He was among the first group of members along with Dave Evans, Angus Young, Larry Van Kriedt and Malcom Young.
Burgess left the band the following year and later formed the hard rock band his Majesty.
