TRI-CITIES, Wash. – The U.S. Postal Service will suspend its regular mail delivery and retail service on Thu., Jan. 9 in observance of the national day of mourning of former President Jimmy Carter.
USPS will provide limited package delivery service on Thursday and resume its normal retail, delivery and collection schedules on Fri., Jan. 10.
Former President Carter died on Dec. 29 at the age of 100 and will receive a state funeral on Thursday at the Washington National Cathedral.
