KENNEWICK, Wash. – Local community leaders, students, and volunteers will build over 1,600 bikes in a single day on Dec. 5 for Bikes for Tikes.

Bikes for Tikes, a local non-profit, hosts a Bike Build Day every year to unite community members and assemble bikes to donate to children in need across the Northwest.

All of the assembled bikes are donated back to Bikes for Tikes who distribute them to individuals and partnering organizations. In 2023, 1610 bikes were delivered across the community.

The event is set to start at 9 a.m. at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.
