Kennewick police respond to shots near Kamiakin High School

KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Kennewick Police Department is investigating reports of a shooting near Kamiakin High School.

According to Sergeant Wolosin with KPD, there are no injuries and the school is not on lockdown. The reports came from outside of the high school, saying there was a fight involving a weapon. KPD said the school’s resource officer confirmed there was no fight and the allegations of a weapon are still unconfirmed.

A NonStop Local reporter on scene said police have four teenagers in handcuffs.

Wolosin said the investigation is still ongoing.
