TRI-CITIES, Wash.-RiverFest, the annual celebration of rivers in the region, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Columbia Park.
RiverFest is a free, family-friendly educational event featuring exhibits, vendors and entertainment to highlight the importance of the Columbia River Power System concerning navigation, irrigation, power and recreation, according to RiverFest’s website.
Attendees will learn how hydropower works and why it’s important and enjoy hands on learning experiences and exhibits from businesses and community organizations.
Food will be available for purchase from vendors in the park.
