Kennewick seeking proposals for utility box art

KENNEWICK, Wash.-The City of Kennewick is looking for artists to submit proposals for artwork on traffic utility boxes around the city.

The Kennewick Arts Commission is seeking digital artwork to wrap traffic utility boxes.

According to the City of Kennewick, the utility box artwork is a chance to infuse art into everyday spaces, discourage graffiti and beautify the city’s street corners.

Three utility box locations have been funded, with more potential spots available for artwork in the future, according to a post from the city.

Artwork submissions should capture the spirit of Kennewick and should be suitable for all ages and should contain no advertising, religious art, sexual content, violence or political content.
