BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – The Benton County Public Works Department is planning to temporarily close roads in the Cottonwood, Reata and Steeplechase neighborhoods for road surface treatments.
The short closures will start July 29 and go through Aug. 23.
Closures are expected to take an hour following the application of fog seal and all vehicles, bicycles, animals and pedestrians will not be allowed to travel on the street during treatment. This includes parked vehicles, trailers, RV’s and equipment.
Road signs, traffic control plans and flaggers will be in place until the treatment is finished. The County asks residents to make arrangements during work as homes will not be accessible by road during the hour-long closures.
Residents will be notified by the Public Works Department prior to their road being worked on.
