YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.- Crews responded to a brush fire near Highway 410 in Yakima County, near Pinecliff, on Sunday, July 7.
According to Laura Padgett from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), crews arrived around 8 p.m. The DNR utilized county and federal resources to respond to the blaze.
DNR says the fire has reached at least 10 acres and continued to uphill as timber grass and brush fuel it. DNR resources included five fire engines, a Forest Service Engine, a hotshot crew, and two dozers.
Crews will remain on the scene throughout the night to suppress the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
