YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.- On Sunday, July 7, a car caught fire in the median on I-82 near MP 16, causing a brush fire.
According to the Yakima Training Center, the car caught fire in the median between two lanes, causing a brush fire. Crews responded around 3:20 p.m.
The fire burned over 10 acres before crews were able to contain the fire with air support just after 4 p.m.
Crews will remain on scene to mop up and monitor the situation.
