SUNNYSIDE, Wash. – The Washington State Attorney General’s Office is working with Empowering Latinas Leadership and Action (ELLA) to improve connections with Central Washington rural communities, including the Lower Yakima Valley.
The Attorney General’s Office hopes to use the connections to address issues rural areas are facing, including environmental challenges, worker’s rights violations and limited advocacy.
ELLA will host a community forum on June 3 with the Attorney General’s Office discussing these topics along with the resources the Attorney General offers.
The event takes place at the Sunnyside Community Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided.
