YAKIMA, Wash.-The City of Yakima is asking drivers to avoid the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Mead Avenue if possible on Thursday, Jan. 18 as a traffic signal cabinet is replaced.
Traffic will be reduced to one-way in each direction and the traffic signal will be out for most of the day, according to the City of Yakima.
The signal cabinet replacement is necessary due to a crash in the area on Jan. 17 and crews hope to have the new one in place by 3 p.m.
