KENNEWICK, Wash. –
According to Kennewick Police Department, officers arrived at Lithia Dodge of Tri-Cities after employees called them about a suspicious man trying to buy a sports car on Dec. 9th.
KPD says employees found out a Spokane man was trying to buy the car pretending to be someone else after they called and confirmed the actual identity of the person who the suspect was pretending to be.
KPD says once employees confirmed the suspect was trying to commit identity theft they called the police.
According to KPD, once officers got to the dealership the suspect tried to run away, but after a short chase he was caught.
The suspect has been booked into the Benton County Jail.
