PASCO, Wash. – A bicyclist was sent to the hospital after being hit by a truck Friday night in Pasco according to Sergeant Leininger of the Pasco Police Department.
Leininger says the bicyclist was hit near the Pasco Albertsons on North 20th Avenue. The truck reportedly drove off after hitting the bicyclist.
PPD is collecting statements from several witnesses who watched the hit-and-run happen, including another driver who blocked the road with their vehicle until police arrived.
The bicyclist was brought to the hospital with serious injuries. PPD is currently searching for the suspect.
North 20th Avenue from West Court Street to West Marie Street will be closed for an extended period of time for an investigation.
