YAKIMA, Wash.-Three people were hospitalized after a crash on I-82 near Yakima on the night of Nov. 18.
The Washington State Patrol responded to the two-car crash in the eastbound lanes of I-82 near milepost 34 around 10:56 p.m.
According to the WSP, a Ford Fusion and a Nissan Rogue were both being driven eastbound when the driver of the Ford, a 35-year-old Richland man, hit the Nissan, causing it to roll.
The Nissan landed on its roof on the right shoulder of the road and the driver of the Ford then hit a cable barrier on the Interstate before coming to a stop in the median.
The driver of the Nissan, a 56-year-old Harrah woman, and her two passengers, a 68-year-old man and 18-year-old girl, also of Harrah, were all transported to the hospital in Yakima after the crash.
According to the WSP, the cause of the crash was speed too fast for the conditions and DUI charges may be pending against the driver of the Ford.
