KENNEWICK, Wash.- The Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation is hosting its 25th Annual Cancer Crushing Breakfast at the Three River Convention Center. On April 15, the breakfast will be open to the community and free to attend starting at 7:30a.m.
Lori Lott, Senior Philanthropy Officer at the Kadlec Foundation said the Cancer Crushing Breakfast will provide an opportunity for the community to learn more about cancer care available in our region. “We have so many great stories to share,” said Lott. “We have a few physicians that are going to come and show us some stories about our four pillars.”
Those pillars include prevention, early detection, treatment and survivorship.
Sponsoring the event is Hanford Mission Integration Solutions. While there is no cost to attend, the goal for the event is to invite people to financially support the Tri-Cities’ only not-for-profit cancer care facility.
RSVP is requested, you can call (509) 737-3373 to confirm your attendance.
The Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation just recently directed over $500-thousand dollars to toward new equipment and services to help patients at the Kadlec Tri-Cities Cancer Center. That money is used to fund technology and programs dedicated to cancer prevention in the community. Those funds coming from donors including fundraisers like the Cancer Crushing Breakfast.
“One of the things we would like to share is that we’ve been able to purchase a contrast-enhanced mammography machine,” said Lott. “It’s the first one in the Tri-Cities and it’s a great way for our clinicians to be able to detect cancer.”
