KENNEWICK, Wash.-The 24th Annual Cancer Crushing Breakfast benefitting the Tri-Cities Cancer Center was Wednesday, April 17 at the Three Rivers Convention Center.
The breakfast featured news on the past, present and future of cancer care in the Tri-Cities region.
There was no cost for the cancer crushing breakfast, According to Lori Lott the Senior Philanthropy Officer for the Foundations at Kadlec, more than 400 people attended the event.
Monte Drake the Tri-Cities Cancer Foundation Board President said the community support is second to none.
“This community is amazing the way they back the Tri-Cities Cancer Center,” said Drake. “A lot of people don’t know but as of now we’ve had over 30 million dollars raised with the cancer center.”
Drake said cancer affects most people, himself included.
“Cancer has affected all my family a lot of my family,” he said. “I currently have a mother-in-law and a father who are both going through cancer right now. I lost my mother and my father-in-law to cancer already.”
The Kadlec Tri-Cities Cancer Center is celebrating 30 years of service focused on all aspects of cancer from prevention to diagnosis, treatment and survivorship in 2024.
