BENTON CITY, Wash. – The Hedges Family Estate is set to host the Auction of Washington Wines on May 16.

The event will feature local experts and a variety of esteemed guests.

Sarah Hedges Goedhart from the Hedges Family Estate explained their long-standing partnership with the auction. “We have been involved with the auction since 1988, and the auction has raised over $67 million since then,” she said.

The event is moving to the Hedges Family Estate after being hosted at Bookwalter in recent years.

The evening will showcase renowned chefs and wineries, including those of Sorrel in Seattle, known for its focus on Washington wines.

Attendees can look forward to a dinner featuring Avennia and Col Solare, along with a reception.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit Washington State University Tri-Cities’ Viticulture and Oenology programs and Seattle Children’s Hospital, specifically the Wenatchee and Tri-Cities clinics.

Goedhart, a graduate of the WSU program, emphasized the importance of the cause.

For those interested in attending, more information is available on the Auction of Washington Wines website.
